Resounding Woman Retreats Attendee Agreement

This Service Agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into by the undersigned parties ~ You, (the “Client”) located at address listed below and Elise Besler-Harnish (the “Coach/Consultant”) located at 1409 Purcells Cove Road, Halifax NS B3P1B3

The Client will be attending the 6 night, 7 day Resounding Woman Retreat at Synergy Retreat Centre in Uvita Costa Rica March 16th - 22nd, 2025 (the “Program” or “Services”) hosted by Coach/Consultant Elise Besler-Harnish (EB Voice Empowerment).

If the Client does not agree to these terms, please reach out to Elise and Team via email at hello@elisebesler.com before registering and attending the Resounding Woman Retreat. 


Please read through this entire agreement before confirming registration.

1. WHAT’S INCLUDED (“Services”)

Your retreat includes:

✸ 6 nights accommodation at Synergy Retreat Centre.

✸ Detailed daily retreat programming and itinerary and well as coaching/consulting circles with Elise Besler of EB Voice Empowerment

✸ A Welcome gift

✸ Welcome mocktail reception and opening dinner

✸ Daily breakfasts, lunches and suppers prepared by our chef

✸ All snacks and tea/coffee/sparkling water/smoothies and juices

✸ Daily workshops and sound and body based healing journeys. 

✸ Self expression and self-confidence workshops, nervous system regulating practices, boundary workshops and trauma informed self inquiry and spiritual work.

✸ Access to all property amenities (including outdoor saltwater pool, “bamboo mile” hike, river, and cozy reflection nooks.)

✸ Optional massages or spa treatments with Synergy Staff (participant paid). 


✸ Group adventures to waterfalls/beaches/local culture etc.


✸ Optional daily yoga or other movement practices.

✸ Ground shuttle to and from San Jose to Synergy Retreat Centre at specific times. (Location TBA)


Your retreat does not include:

✸ Your round-trip airfare to and from the San Jose, Costa Rica Airport from your home.


 ✸Your (optional) hotel stay(s) before and/or after March 16-22. (Based on flight times).


✸ Gifts, souvenirs, and phone calls purchased, gratuities to retreat centre staff.


 ✸Any food or beverages purchased outside of the retreat centre.


 ✸ Additional activities that you choose to participate in outside of retreat plans on time off. 


✸ Travel, personal and medical insurance (required).


 ✸Passport and other necessary documentation/travel fees.


A Note About Travel Insurance: We require you to speak with a travel insurance provider about purchasing travel cancellation and interruption insurance, and coverage in the event that you get ill and can’t attend, as there are no refunds once registered.

Please also ensure you have proper health coverage for Costa Rica in the unlikely but possible event of illness or injury.

Payment

You will confirm space in the retreat by making a deposit OR making payment in full.

Bookings before January 1st, 2025 are pay in full OR equal payments 30 days apart. Any bookings after January 1st, 2025 are pay in full.
Automatic payments will be made via credit card or Paypal payments, through our online payment processor, Thrive Cart.

 All deposits and payments are non-refundable. Deposits and payments may be transferred to a different retreat if you cancel 90 days or more prior to the retreat.
Deposits and payments may be transferred to another attendee, provided all is paid in full and transfer is completed no later than 90 days prior to the retreat. 

Cancellation Policy

Please note: there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, family emergencies, endemics, pandemics, earthquakes, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply.

We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, pandemics, illness, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving the retreat centre and other retreat amenities.

We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we require you to purchase travel insurance. 

If you cancel the retreat: 

90 days or more prior to the start of the retreat, you receive 100% of your deposit and payments toward another Resounding Woman Retreat, to be used within 24 months of cancellation. Please note, the follow up retreat may be in a different location and may be a different price. 

Cancellation less than 90 days prior to the start of the retreat, no credits and no refunds will be given

*any paid-in-full spots will not be refunded or credited to another retreat. Please purchase travel insurance to cover your losses, in this case.

BACKGROUND and QUALIFICATIONS

A. The Client is of the opinion and trusts that the Consultant has the necessary qualifications, experience, and abilities to provide services to the Client.

B. The Consultant is agreeable to providing such services to the Client on the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.

IN CONSIDERATION OF the matters described above and of the mutual benefits and obligations set forth in this Agreement, the receipt and sufficiency of which consideration is hereby acknowledged, the Client and the Consultant (individually the "Party" and collectively the "Parties" to this Agreement) agree as follows:

1. Term

The term of this Agreement (the "Term") Agreement shall begin on day of signing and remain in effect until March 22nd, 2025.

2. Services

The Consultant will provide Services to the Client as described above.

The Service provided to the Client by the Consultant is voice confidence and communication, voice activation, spiritual inquiry, nervous system health and somatic wisdom mentoring/consulting, which is not directive medical advice, counselling, or therapy.

It may address overall goals, specific projects, or general conditions in the Client's life or profession but cannot replace or substitute for the services of trained professionals in any field, including, but not limited to, psychological, financial, medical, or other matters.

3. Performance

The Parties agree to do everything necessary to ensure that the terms of this Agreement take effect.

4. Compensation

All monetary amounts referred to in this Agreement are in USD.

6. Confidentiality

The Consultant agrees that they will not disclose, divulge, reveal, report or use, for any purpose, any Confidential Information which the client shares during the Retreat.

The Client agrees that they will not disclose, divulge, revel, report or use , for any purpose, any Confidential Information which fellow attendees share during the Retreat.

7. Retreat Courtesy and Communication

The Client agrees to the following during The Retreat:

✸ To refrain from cross talking in coaching circles.

✸ To refrain from cross coaching or giving unsolicited advice in coaching circles.

✸ It goes without saying; the RE-Sounding Woman Retreat is a place of bravery and inclusivity. The Client holds the shared values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in matters of race, religion, body size, sexual orientation/identity, or other marginalizing factors. 

It is understood that if any racist, size-ist, homophobic, transphobic or other marginalizing slurs, actions or communication takes place during the Retreat, the Consultant reserves the right to ask the Client to leave, without compensation or refund.

✸ To clearly communicate any important needs or concerns to Elise and Team BEFORE and DURING The Retreat

✸ To keep personal safety front of mind in matters of outdoor adventuring, swimming, time spent in any nature and on retreat property grounds. Please book medical travel insurance to ensure you’re covered in the case of an unlikely but possible injury.

7. Intellectual Property

The Client agrees to cite any of the Consultant’s work, exercises or inspiration, should the Client choose to use any materials or exercises in their own body of work.

8. Limitation of Liability

It is understood and agreed that the Consultant will not be liable to the Client, or any agent or associate of the Client, for any injury, loss of monetary funds, illness, mistake or error in judgment or for any act or omission done in good faith and believed to be within the scope of authority conferred or implied by this Agreement.

9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement represents the entire agreement between the parties and the provisions of this Agreement shall supersede all prior oral and written commitments, contracts, and understandings with respect to the subject matter of this Agreement. This Agreement may be amended only by mutual written agreement of the Parties.

10 .Governing Law and Principles of Construction

This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with Nova Scotia law. If any provision in this Agreement is declared illegal or unenforceable, the provision will become void, leaving the remainder of this Agreement in full force and effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Agreement to be executed by their duly authorized representatives, effective as of the day and year first above written. By e-signing this document, all points are agreed upon.
